This 4-week course covers the fundamentals of the comprehensive RYC® method and is perfect re-entry for those wanting to learn how to exercise smartly after birth. Expert attention and care is given to education around optimal core and pelvic floor recovery particularly after birth injury such as tearing, or core and pelvic floor issues such as diastasis recti, incontinence, prolapse, hip pain and back pain.

You will learn :

  • Exercises that rebuild strength and confidence to tone, shape, and rehab the core and pelvic floor.

  • How to optimally engage your core so you can exercise in a smart and intelligent way.

  • What it means to load your body with ideal support.

  • Breathing patterns for core and pelvic floor function.

This course is more than just an exercise class as its educational format means you will learn about your individual movement blindspots to enable you to get stronger, move better and get back into the activities and movement practices that you love without fear of pain, injury or discomfort.

Each week you will receive weekly video homework sessions of a short duration that can be easily slotted into your busy lives. 

In addition, you will be provided direct access to Shelley, who will make herself available for any questions that you have during and after the course, to help support you in your RYC® journey.

Postnatal courses are suitable for those 6-weeks post vaginal birth, 12-weeks post belly birth (caesarean) unless LMC or Doctor have given prior approval.

Sneeze Pee? Back Pain? Weak Core? Diastasis Recti? Restore Your Core® is a comprehensive core and pelvic floor strengthening method that targets your whole body in order to regain function.

In this workshop you will learn:

- How to assess your core / pelvic floor function
- How to train your core and pelvic floor muscles to be reflexive and responsive to your body
- How to eliminate + prevent common core dysfunction triggers
- Common core blind spots and compensations that might be preventing you from gaining strength and seeing results
- How to exercise with confidence that you are not causing more damage to your core + pelvic floor

This workshop is a combination of both movement and education and will give you many take home tools to help you shift your approach to building a more functional and strong core. If you struggle with diastasis recti, a weak core, back pain, pelvic organ prolapse or are just looking to build a sustainable movement practice with an integrated core - this workshop is for you.

This course is suitable for those that are pregnant and those that are 6 weeks post vaginal birth and 12 weeks post belly birth. Babies who are not yet crawling are welcome to attend and breastfeeding/bottle feeding is supported and welcomed.

Your 90min initial session includes Restore Your Core® to highlight compensations and blindspots and create new patterns of movement for strength and support of your postnatal body.

This session will give you the confidence and the education in returning to exercise safely postnatally. In the session I will assess most of the following:

  • Alignment

  • Breathing

  • Pelvic mobility

  • Spinal mobility

  • Pelvic floor awareness

  • Core engagement

  • Gait analysis

You will receive a bespoke movement video with follow-up exercises and movement strategies to continue your learning and home practice.

These classes are perfect for those wanting to learn how to exercise smartly postnatally, who experienced birth injuries such as tearing, or have core and pelvic floor issues such as diastasis recti, incontinence, prolapse, hip pain and back pain, or pelvic pain.

Sessions thereafter will progress your strengthening and mobility practices using Restore Your Core® teachings, as well as other yoga, pilates, mobility and functional exercise and breathing practices, with continued movement videos for your learning at home.
